HVAC/R Service Manager

Company Overview:

Join Filtrex, a leading mechanical company focused on nationwide HVAC/R Preventive Maintenance across various equipment types. We offer an exciting career opportunity as an HVAC/R Service Manager, leading a rapidly expanding team.
Compensation & Benefits:

  • Comprehensive health insurance package, including dental and vision coverage, available after 60 days.
  • 5 days of PTO per year, awarded after 60 days.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation per year, accessible after 90 days.

Position Summary:

As the HVAC/R Service Manager, you'll oversee high-level operations within the Service Department, effectively carrying out the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
  • Establish and accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and enforce company/client standards and expectations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Supervisors and Trainers.
  • Ensure up-to-date and effective training materials to facilitate proper equipment maintenance, start-up, and operation for customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and reviews.
  • Optimize service schedules and routes.
  • Promptly and professionally address client inquiries.
  • Provide client feedback to the company for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee OSHA requirements and compliance.
Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in ICE Machine and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and assignments.
  • At least two years of HVAC/R service technician experience (preferred).
  • Minimum two years of office and management experience.
  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation.
  • Post-high school education from college, trade school, or the military.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to represent the company at conferences and industry trade shows, when necessary.
Location & Schedule:

This position operates from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with availability required for nights and weekends as needed. Projection of 50-60 hour weeks
