National Sales Executive Transportation & Logistics

Our client is seeking a National Sales Executive to drive new business development and expand strategic shipper relationships across North America. This role will focus on selling both asset-based trucking capacity and non-asset brokerage solutions, allowing customers access to flexible transportation options across multiple modes.

The ideal candidate is a hunter-oriented sales professional with freight brokerage or asset-based trucking sales experience who can build long-term shipper relationships and develop profitable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new shipper relationships nationwide
  • Generate new freight opportunities across both asset-based trucking and brokerage services
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Sell multimodal transportation solutions including truckload, dedicated capacity, brokerage, and other logistics services
  • Conduct discovery calls and customer meetings to understand shipper supply chain needs
  • Work closely with operations and pricing teams to develop competitive transportation solutions
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with customers to expand wallet share and long-term partnerships
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to leadership
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of transportation sales experience (freight brokerage, trucking, or 3PL)
  • Proven track record of generating new business with shippers
  • Strong understanding of freight pricing, capacity, and transportation market dynamics
  • Experience selling truckload freight and brokerage solutions
  • Ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
