Job Summary: The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing and expanding an assigned portfolio of commercial deposit relationships by delivering exceptional client service and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. Serving as the primary relationship manager, the Account Manager proactively develops trusted relationships with business owners, executives, and key client contacts while coordinating the Bank's resources to resolve operational issues, fraud concerns, Treasury Management needs, and service requests.


The Account Manager is responsible for retaining and expanding existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen the relationship through Treasury Management services, additional commercial deposit accounts, and Key Executive & Owner (KEO) accounts. Working closely with Business Banking Officers, Commercial Loan Officers, SBA Loan Officers, Portfolio Managers, Operations, and Treasury Management, the Account Manager helps ensure every client experiences CommerceWest Bank's high-touch relationship banking model.

Essential Functions:

  1. Achieve and maintain 100% client retention by delivering exceptional client service and building trusted long-term relationships.
  2. Accurately complete client requests, including but not limited to new account openings, legal documentation collection and review, and other operational tasks, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and full compliance with established bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients by coordinating timely resolution of operational issues, fraud concerns, Treasury Management support, service requests, and account maintenance.
  4. Manage and expand an assigned portfolio of commercial deposit relationships and KEO accounts, while identifying opportunities to deepen each relationship.
  5. Identify opportunities to expand Treasury Management utilization, including ACH, wires, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit, online banking, fraud prevention services, merchant services, and other Treasury Management solutions.
  6. Deepen existing relationships by identifying opportunities for additional commercial operating accounts, reserve accounts, specialty deposit accounts, and Key Executive & Owner (KEO) accounts.
  7. Develop relationships with business owners, executives, partners, board members, and key decision makers to establish personal deposit relationships and strengthen the overall banking relationship.
  8. Coordinate with Central Processing Support, Information Security, Treasury Management, and Fraud Management to promptly resolve client operational issues and mitigate fraud risk while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
  9. Identify opportunities to refer Commercial Lending, SBA Lending, Treasury Management enhancements, and Specialty Banking services to the appropriate business partners.
  10. Document significant client interactions, service requests, referrals, cross-selling opportunities, and relationship activities within the Bank's CRM system.
  11. Conduct regular relationship reviews with assigned clients to identify service enhancements, operational efficiencies, Treasury Management opportunities, and additional deposit relationships.
