Summary of Position: Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) is seeking a creative, innovative, and detail-oriented Marketing Multimedia Designer to develop compelling visual and multimedia content that supports enrollment, engagement, and brand awareness initiatives. This role combines graphic design, video production, social media content creation, and digital storytelling to help communicate the value and mission of IWU N+G to prospective students, current students, and strategic partners.
The ideal candidate is a versatile creator who can design a digital ad campaign, produce engaging social media content, edit videos for multiple platforms, and collaborate across teams to bring marketing strategies to life.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Graphic Design & Creative Development
    • Design and produce a variety of print and digital marketing materials, including:
      • Digital and print banners
      • Flyers, brochures, and promotional materials
      • Event signage and collateral
      • Digital advertisements
      • Presentation and internal communication materials
      • Landing page and web graphics
    • Create visually compelling assets that align with campaign objectives and brand standards
    • Adapt creative assets across multiple channels, formats, and audience segments
  • Video Production & Multimedia Content
    • Create, edit, and optimize video content for marketing campaigns, recruitment initiatives, events, and social media platforms
    • Produce short-form videos, reels, testimonials, promotional videos, and other multimedia content that supports enrollment and engagement goals
    • Edit video footage using industry-standard tools while ensuring content is platform-appropriate and audience-focused
    • Incorporate motion graphics, animations, captions, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and engagement
  • Brand Stewardship
    • Ensure all creative deliverables consistently reflect IWU Online and Indiana Wesleyan University brand standards
    • Maintain visual consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints
    • Support the continued evolution and implementation of creative standards and templates
  • Collaboration & Project Management
    • Partner with marketing strategists, content specialists, enrollment teams, and university stakeholders to develop effective creative solutions
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
    • Participate in campaign planning and contribute creative ideas that support marketing and enrollment objectives
    • Organize and maintain digital assets, project files, and creative resources

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field

Experience
  • Two or more (2+) years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia production, or digital marketing
  • Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing campaigns

Required Skills
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and understanding of audience engagement
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design, video production, and digital content creation
  • Preferred:
    Experience with motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects or similar software.
    • Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
    • Knowledge of digital marketing, paid advertising, and social media best practices.
    • Photography and video shooting experience.
    • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools.
