Business Development Manager โ€“ Automotive / Defense / Aerospace Staffing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our staffing and engineering services business within the Automotive, Defense, and Aerospace industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of industry contacts, proven experience in staffing sales, and the ability to develop strategic client relationships across OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, engineering service providers, and defense/aerospace organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and generate new business opportunities in Automotive, Defense, and Aerospace sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, procurement teams, MSP/VMS partners, and decision-makers.
  • Promote staffing, recruitment, and engineering service solutions for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Develop strategic accounts and expand existing client relationships.
  • Work closely with recruiting teams to fulfill client staffing requirements efficiently.
  • Prepare client presentations, proposals, rate negotiations, and service agreements.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
  • Achieve revenue, gross margin, and business growth targets.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM updates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of business development experience in staffing or engineering services.
  • Strong experience in Automotive, Defense, or Aerospace staffing.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new clients and growing accounts.
  • Strong understanding of contract staffing, engineering recruitment, and workforce solutions.
  • Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, aerospace companies, or defense contractors is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive business growth.

Preferred Skills

  • Existing network within Automotive/Defense/Aerospace industries.
  • Experience with VMS/MSP programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering domains such as:

  • CAE
  • Aerospace Systems
  • Defense Electronics
  • Familiarity with U.S./Canada staffing markets is a plus.
