Job description

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• 36 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Hawaii license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - The Queen’s Health System (Non-MSP - VMS).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Three (3) or more years ICU Staff RN experience excluding travel assignments in large tertiary/quaternary, Level 1 trauma centers.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience in mixed Medical/Surgical ICU and/or specialty ICUs preferred. - Experience in CRRT desired. - Previous ICU Float Pool experience highly desired. - Previous Queen’s Health System ICU traveler experience highly preferred.

Required Credentials: - Must pass EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation.

Special Requests: - Prefer talent without RTO; however, limited RTO will be approved after 30 days on assignment.

Unit Details: - If RN is not needed on their unit or a similar unit as an RN, they may be assigned to work as a nursing assistant or safety sitter. - Medical ICU: Pulmonary/Renal/Sepsis. - Surgical/Trauma ICU. - Cardiac/CVICU: OH, ECMO, LVAD, transplants. - Neuro ICU: Neuro IR/Neurosurgery and stroke care.

Shift & Scheduling: - Mid-shift rotating: 11a-11p or 3p-3a. - Holidays as required.

Floating Requirements: - All travelers are required to float to other nursing units based on operational need, including stepdown or telemetry.
