Business Development Recruiter (Locum Tenens Physicians & APPs)


About the Role

Palm Health Resources is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Recruiter to help expand our locum tenens client base and generate new job opportunities for our physician and advanced practice provider (APP) recruiting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, enjoys building relationships, and wants full ownership of their book of business with uncapped earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new healthcare clients in need of locum tenens physicians and APPs
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of job orders to support recruiting teams
  • Develop long-term relationships with hospitals, health systems, and medical groups nationwide
  • Own the full business development lifecycle: prospecting, outreach, contract negotiation, and account management
  • Partner closely with internal recruiters to align on client needs and ensure successful placements
  • Negotiate terms, rates, and agreements with clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Stay informed on market trends, provider shortages, and industry dynamics to position solutions effectively
  • Deliver exceptional client service to encourage repeat business and referrals


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales within locum tenens or healthcare staffing
  • Proven ability to generate new business and build lasting client relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Fearless, proactive approach to outreach (cold calling, networking, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare recruitment lifecycle is preferred
