We are seeking a Database Developer eager to dive into our application stack and join a team of innovators who are taking it to the next level. The ideal candidate will bring a solid track record of not only building applications from the ground up but also enhancing an existing core. We challenge our developers to explore and exploit technology faster than others. You will have the opportunity to work in small, but complete teams, that have total ownership of applications and modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement systems-level database architectures and interfaces
  • Provide architectural frameworks, design, and development leadership
  • Design and develop complex database structures in MS SQL environments
  • Work with .Net application development teams to ensure adherence to database architecture guidelines during application development
  • Write and review technical specifications and other forms of documentation
  • Innovate using tools and processes that simplify and expedite achieving development goals
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (DevOps, Database, QA Testers, and Analysts) to ensure successful delivery of projects, from testing to integration to deployment using an agile approach

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline from U.S. accredited institution
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience with MS SQL database architectures and database development on a variety of development projects
  • High-level knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
  • Proficient knowledge of MS SQL queries, stored procedures, and T-SQL
  • Knowledge of SQL, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in MS SQL Server, Database Development, BI Development, and/or Data Management and Analytics
  • Application development or functional experience with asset management, logistics, reliability centered maintenance, or fleet management
