Job description

Sanitation Worker


Location: Miramar, FL

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM


Position Summary


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing facility in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role is responsible for cleaning production equipment, work areas, offices, and common spaces while ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met.


Responsibilities

  • Clean production equipment, utensils, containers, and machine parts using approved sanitation procedures.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitization.
  • Remove waste materials and empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
  • Clean production areas, offices, laboratories, restrooms, hallways, conference rooms, cafeterias, and other common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors.
  • Clean ceilings, walls, fans, windows, doors, vents, baseboards, and other facility surfaces.
  • Restock workstations with necessary operating supplies.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying management when replacements are needed.
  • Complete daily sanitation logs, cleaning checklists, and required documentation.
  • Perform in-process sanitation verification checks following established procedures.
  • Operate sanitation equipment, including:
  • Floor buffer
  • Trash compactor
  • Cardboard baler
  • Follow the facility's Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Assist the Sanitation Supervisor with additional cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, or production environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently use hands and arms to clean, lift, and operate equipment.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks in a manufacturing environment.
