Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, positioned within a cutting-edge telehealth framework that expands our reach to clients in need of support. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, employing standardized instruments and clinical interviews.
  • Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans, setting realistic goals that align with their personal aspirations and mental health needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, including symptom management, coping strategies, and available treatment options.
  • Monitor client progress regularly, adapting therapeutic interventions as necessary to respond to fluctuating needs and treatment responses.
  • Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to uphold legal and ethical compliance standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to exchange insights and support each otherโ€™s clinical development.
  • Champion the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and advocate for clientsโ€™ mental health needs within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and understood. The importance of culturally competent care will be emphasized, ensuring that your approach is tailored to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of New York as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, specifically focusing on mood disorders.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists for integrated care.
  • A demonstrated history of positive client outcomes and effective therapy delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
