Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs through comprehensive evaluations and create tailored treatment plans to promote individual progress.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Facilitate individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions, adapting approaches to meet diverse client needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case records, complying with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay current with mental health best practices and research advancements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Our focus is on providing accessible care to marginalized communities, making it crucial for our counselors to demonstrate cultural competence and empathy in their clinical practice.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of two years of practical counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in mental health practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and relevant technology is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a community health setting or working with underserved populations.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload management.
