Position Overview

Grow Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our influential mental health team in San Jose, California. Work Environment

This position is remote, providing the flexibility to work from home while being a vital part of a cohesive team that values collaboration and continuous learning. You'll engage with clients via telehealth platforms, utilizing innovative tools and technologies that enhance the therapeutic experience. Our Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while delivering critical mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and nuances of mood disorder symptoms, analyzing their intensity, frequency, and duration.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals, personal circumstances, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate improved mental health outcomes.
  • Provide comprehensive education and support to clients and their families surrounding mood disorders, inclusive of treatment options and self-care practices.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans to meet evolving needs based on continuous assessments.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to integrate new insights into your practice.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative care strategies and share best practices.
  • Advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders, which may include anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. Your skills will support individuals as they navigate these challenges, helping them develop coping strategies and resilience. The diverse clientele at our community health clinic provides a rich environment for you to apply your therapeutic skills and techniques to achieve positive treatment outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Hold at least a Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, emphasizing advanced clinical training.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering secure therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrate empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and sensitivity to clientsโ€™ experiences and struggles.
  • Possess strong organizational and time-management skills essential for maintaining efficient clinical workflow.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health setting, especially with diverse populations facing addiction and mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling techniques to effectively engage clients remotely.
  • Continued education or certification in CBT, DBT, or other relevant therapeutic modalities.
