Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and design individualized treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis plans to proactively mitigate risks.
• Engage in timely documentation processes that adhere to regulatory standards, ensuring all patient records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
• Implement evidence-based screening tools in clinical assessments, contributing to the overall effectiveness of patient evaluations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute positive behavior support plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently met across service delivery.
• Act as a crucial liaison with state agencies and community partners to enhance resource availability and quality of service for clients.
• Maintain productive communication lines within the organization to promote transparency and uphold contract standards in patient care.
• Generate and sustain partnerships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to expand program outreach and secure funding opportunities.
• Engage in professional development activities, including attending conferences and participating in statewide meetings to elevate agency visibility.
• Embody and promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles in every aspect of service delivery, inspiring positive client and community relationships.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director to support clinic operations and maintain service excellence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMHC will work with a diverse population, addressing various mental health challenges, from emotional distress to complex behavioral issues. Our client base includes individuals with substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and those requiring assistance with acquired brain injuries, emphasizing a client-driven approach tailored to foster healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling is mandatory for this role.
• Candidates must possess an independent LMHC license issued by the New York state board.
• Proficiency in managing clinical records and producing detailed reports is essential.
• Ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team framework, exhibiting strong collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication skills are critical—candidates must effectively articulate ideas and strategies.
• The ability to exercise professional judgment and make informed decisions based on clinical expertise is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health setting is advantageous.
• Prior involvement with multidisciplinary teams in mental health service delivery enhances candidate suitability.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities will be beneficial.
• Understanding of state and federal mental health regulations is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000, reflecting the candidate's expertise and experience.
