Position Overview

L&C Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote position. This role specifically targets professionals who have expertise in treating mood disorders, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the mental health and well-being of our diverse patient population.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexible work from home opportunities while maintaining a structured work schedule. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts based on the needs of our clients. As part of our telehealth initiative, you will use cutting-edge technology to conduct virtual therapy sessions, ensuring access to mental health care is convenient and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments of clients to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and clinical interviews.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each client's unique needs, incorporating their personal goals and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, including available treatment options and self-care strategies, fostering an understanding of their mental health journey.
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to client treatment.
  • Stay current with the latest research on mood disorders, leveraging new findings to enhance therapeutic practices and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities, enhancing your clinical skills and contributing to team knowledge.
  • Advocate for the reduction of stigma surrounding mood disorders, promoting awareness, education, and support within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at L&C Health & Rehabilitation Center, you will primarily focus on clients struggling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse clientele may include adolescents, adults, and older adults, each facing unique challenges related to their mental health. You will be instrumental in guiding them through their therapeutic journeys, helping them to achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders, demonstrating a robust understanding of clinical practices.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy techniques, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • A strong grasp of psychopharmacology and the capacity to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
  • Exceptional communication skills that allow you to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth or remote counseling settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve successful treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms to document client interactions and manage treatment plans effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
