You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to address a variety of mental health challenges.

About the Organization

Mood Care Counseling is a forward-thinking community health clinic located in Toms River, New Jersey, focused on enhancing personal development and emotional well-being for underserved populations. Our team of compassionate professionals provides exceptional care, prioritizing accessibility and comprehensive mental health services. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where our clients can thrive and improve their mental health regardless of their backgrounds.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you deliver critical services from the comfort of your own home. We value employee well-being and recognize the importance of a manageable schedule. You will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to each client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide individualized and group therapy sessions using evidence-supported therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families who have limited access to mental health care. You will address a diverse array of mental health issues, supporting clients struggling with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. By delivering tailored strategies, you will play a pivotal role in their journeys toward healing and achieving personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of New Jersey is essential.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in counseling, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and technology tools for effective client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialty or additional training in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented healthcare environment demonstrating collaborative approaches to patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, which will be commensurate with your experience and caseload. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Malpractice insurance, ensuring you are securely protected in your practice.
  • Access to a steady stream of client referrals to help maintain and grow your caseload.
  • Support with billing and documentation processes, allowing you to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks.
Career Growth Opportunities

Mood Care Counseling is committed to your professional development and growth. Opportunities for advancement within the organization include leadership roles, specialty training, and the chance to contribute to program development initiatives. We encourage our counselors to expand their skill sets and pursue further certifications.

Why Join Our Team

At Mood Care Counseling, you will be part of a passionate team that is dedicated to making a difference in the community. By joining us, you will work in a supportive and collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, and your personal growth is encouraged. Together, we can change lives and make mental health care accessible to those who need it most.

Application Information
