What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Model Scout, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Model Scout, you need a keen eye for unique talent, knowledge of fashion industry standards, and experience in talent evaluation, often supported by a background in fashion or talent management. Familiarity with digital portfolios, modeling agency databases, and social media platforms is typically required to identify and track potential models. Strong networking, interpersonal, and communication skills help build relationships with aspiring models and industry professionals. These abilities are crucial for discovering promising talent and successfully matching them with the right opportunities in a highly competitive industry.

How does a Model Scout typically collaborate with modeling agencies and clients to discover new talent?

Model Scouts work closely with modeling agencies by identifying promising new talent and facilitating introductions between potential models and agencies. They often attend industry events, fashion shows, and public spaces to spot individuals who fit the agency’s criteria. Once a potential model is found, scouts usually coordinate photoshoots, portfolio development, and initial interviews. Their collaboration with clients and agencies is essential for matching the right faces to specific campaigns or projects, ensuring that both the talent and agency needs are met effectively.

What are model scouts?

Model scouts are professionals who search for and identify potential modeling talent for agencies, brands, or fashion shows. They often travel to public places, events, or use social media to find individuals who fit specific criteria for modeling opportunities. Their goal is to discover new faces, assess suitability for the industry, and help guide aspiring models through the initial steps of their careers. Model scouts play a crucial role in connecting talent with reputable agencies and ensuring a steady flow of fresh faces in the fashion industry.

Job description

Here at Scout Motors, we're carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history. A vehicle dating back to 1960. One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks and will do so once again.
But Scout is more than just a brand, it's a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.
The Scout brand is all about respect. Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn't been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation. Respect for communities by creating a company that stands for its people and its customers. Respect for both work and play, with vehicles that are equally at home at a camp site, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute. And respect for our customers by developing two powertrains that meet their requirements - an all-electric powertrain as well as the Harvester™ range extender powertrain which includes a built-in gas-powered generator with an estimated 500 miles of combined range.
At Scout Motors, we empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. What makes a Scout employee? Someone who is a visionary and a leader, who seeks new paths and shares lessons learned. A knowledgeable doer who collaborates across the company to build better. A go-getter with unrivaled passion.
Join us at Scout Motors and be part of shaping the future of transportation. If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!

  • Correlate structural CAE predictions with physical test data and support post-test reviews and root-cause investigations.
  • Develop structural countermeasures and support design teams with data-driven recommendations.
  • Support CAE integration across crash, NVH, durability, thermal, aero, and vehicle-dynamics domains.
  • Review structural changes, reinforcements, joints, and stiffness updates for cross-attribute impacts.
  • Contribute to vehicle milestone readiness, design releases, and cross-functional sign-off activities.
  • Participate in multi-attribute technical reviews and support continuous improvement of CAE tools and processes.
  • Support implementation of AI/ML tools to streamline CAE workflows, including automated preprocessing, model setup, and simulation quality checks.
  • Support development and use of AI-driven predictive models to complement traditional simulations, improve early design guidance, and assist cross-attribute decision-making.
Who You Are
  • A technically strong CAE engineer with a solid understanding of vehicle crashworthiness and structural mechanics.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional OEM product development environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of balancing engineering rigor with program timing.
