Job Summary:
ABC Supply Co. Inc. is North America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products. They are seeking a talented Pricing/Merchandising Analyst to provide hands-on analysis by developing reports, tools, and dashboards that support decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with key stakeholders to understand merchandising intelligence needs and develop tools that support those needs across the organization.
• Support the company-wide implementation of pricing best practices by creating and managing analytical tools and processes that help field teams make more informed pricing decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability through pricing and merchandising optimization strategies; partner with the manager and team to define goals, implement initiatives, and report progress throughout the year.
• Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, and sales and margin performance to develop merchandising reports, procedures, and tools.
• Perform pricing and margin analysis to support key business initiatives.
• Provide regular and ad hoc pricing and merchandising analysis to management, including the publication and review of month-end reports focused on vendor, merchandising, sales, gross profit, and pricing performance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve field pricing software, including Vendavo, and other related tools.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Accounting, Math, Statistics preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• SQL required
Preferred:
• Experience with Tableau, OBIEE and/or other analytical highly preferred
• Python or R highly preferred
