Whole Foods Market is hiring for a Business Analyst.
We're looking for a strategic, quantitative thinker to join our team and drive assortment analysis to optimize our item selection. This role will support assortment strategy by delivering insights on customer behavior, item performance, and key business trends by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Analyze customer, transactional, and market data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards that track assortment performance across stores, categories, channels, and initiatives.
• Use customer segmentation and behavioral analytics to inform assortment strategies.
• Design and measure test-and-learn experiments to evaluate assortment plan effectiveness.
• Partner with Category Merchants, tech partners, operational teams, and leadership to align analytics with business goals.
• Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving cross-functional action.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in retail, grocery, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
