This job is usually an unpaid or entry-level position that prepares you for a career as a merchandiser or another position in the fashion or retail industry. Duties may include performing administrative tasks in addition to observing a professional merchandiser. Qualifications to become a merchandising intern vary by internship, but many employers require you to be a student at a college or university to apply.
