What is a melter?

A Melter is a skilled worker responsible for operating furnaces to melt and refine metal or other materials for manufacturing. They monitor temperature, adjust equipment settings, and ensure the molten material meets quality standards. Melters work in industries such as metal fabrication, foundries, and glass production. Safety procedures are critical due to the high temperatures and hazardous materials involved.

What are the typical work conditions and physical demands faced by melters?

Melters usually work in industrial environments such as foundries or metal fabrication facilities, where they are frequently exposed to high temperatures, molten materials, and loud machinery.
