Metal Grinder – 1st Shift
Akron, Ohio
Starting Pay: $17.50/hour
Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

A steel manufacturing company in Akron is hiring a Metal Grinder for an immediate opening on 1st shift. This is a great opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team with the potential to become a union employee upon hire-in, including a pay increase and union benefits.

Job Duties:

  • Operate grinding equipment including:
    • Grinding wheel
    • Bullet nose grinder
  • Grind and finish metal products to specifications
  • Work around sparks, large press machines, and metal forges
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and production standards

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing and/or machine operating experience required
  • Prior metal grinding experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
