Job description

Grinders are responsible for performing class C/B grinding and finishing work on sheet metal products for secondary operations with low cosmetic visibility.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Prepare and operate standard hand grinders.
  • Deburr, buff, and or polish materials to specifications.
  • Examines and feels surface of product for defects.
  • Removal of defects, scratches, excess weld material, and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface.
  • Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility.
  • Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
