Description

Perform duties associated with the rough and final grinding steps in the manufacturing process to produce high quality metal castings at our facility.


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform hand-grinding operations on castings by using various hand tools.
  • Transport castings from storage or previous work center to grinding booths.
  • Transport completed castings from grinding booth to next manufacturing area or staging area.  
  • Inspect condition of grinding wheels, discs, cones and mounted points for potential safety problems and change, as needed. 
  • Perform work in process inspection to ensure that casting meets requirements defined by supervisor.  
  • Perform timekeeping functions, using timesheets and/or shop floor reporting system.
  • Perform housekeeping functions, as required to keep work area safe and orderly.
