IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain centerless grinding equipment to manufacture precision parts, ensuring machines run efficiently and reliably.
  • Conduct routine maintenance (check fluid levels, dress regulating wheels), troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues, and monitor grinder performance to prevent defects.
  • Measure, inspect, and test finished components with precision instruments, maintain accurate job records and data entry, and support training efforts under supervisory guidance.

HOW TO BECOME OUR CENTERLESS GRINDER OPERATOR - MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST:
  • High school diploma, trade school experience, OR equivalency
  • 2+ years of grinding experience OR 3+ years of experience working in manufacturing, production, or in a technical position
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Ability to set up and operate centerless grinding machines, OR the ability to learn to do so quickly
  • Proficiency in basic shop math
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment such as a micrometer, profilometer, and roundness gauge
  • Ability to stand throughout a shift in a machine shop environment
