Our Foundry team performs hands-on production work in a manufacturing foundry, including material handling, equipment operation, and support of casting operations. This role requires the ability to follow detailed work instructions, meet production goals, and maintain a safe and organized work area. Foundry Operators contribute directly to product quality and overall operational success.
  • Operate tow motor to move alloy to furnace from crib and load molds into pre-heat overs.
  • Load alloy charges onto and into the furnace.
  • Load molds into pre-heat ovens.
  • Unload molds from oven at 2100 degrees; 15-60 lbs
  • Place molds on carts to cool.
  • Unload grates.
  • Load molds into casting units.
  • Unload molds filled with molten metal.
  • Perform basic Maintenance around furnace (TPM).
  • Help maintain machine when problems occur.
  • Perform 6S duties of furnace and foundry.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with emphasis on safety.
  • Support foundry operators as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift Schedules.
  • Strong work history.
  • Prior manufacturing experience desired.
  • Desire to work with your hands in a production environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be willing to participate in pre-employment drug screening.
  • Some positions require vision screening with or without corrective lenses.

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Product Engineer Instructions (PEI).  Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership. Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
