Shift: 2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pm
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sandblast Operator to join our team. This position is Temp-To-Hire position for our manufacturing client. This position is responsible for operating a sandblast machine, loading and unloading parts, and ensuring products meet quality standards.
This is a straightforward production role that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions. Previous sandblasting experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Load and unload parts into the sandblasting machine.
  • Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure parts are processed according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and report any issues.
  • Read and follow work instructions, routers, and production documents.
  • Use basic measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers when required.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required paperwork.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company quality standards, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Work with various chemicals, solvents, lubricants, and cleaning agents as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six (6) months of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing throughout the shift.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, gripping, and handling of parts.
  • Ability to lift and carry:
    • Up to 10 lbs. continuously
    • 1020 lbs. occasionally
    • Up to 50 lbs. rarely
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Must have adequate vision for inspecting parts and safely operating equipment.
