Job Summary
The Sandblast Operator is responsible for preparing and cleaning surfaces using abrasive blasting equipment to meet production and quality standards in a factory environment.
Responsibilities
  • Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
  • Select appropriate blasting materials based on job requirements
  • Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure quality standards
  • Mask or protect non-blasted areas per specifications
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of blasting equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality expectations
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervision
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous sandblasting or abrasive blasting experience required
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
