Sandblaster Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $16.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • First Shift (Monday through Thursday from 05:00am to 03:30pm)
  • Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Join our dynamic fabrication shop as a Sandblaster, playing a vital role in preparing metal components for high-quality finishing.
  • Abrasive Blasting Operation:
  • Safely and efficiently operate various abrasive blasting equipment, including booths, cabinets, and portable units, to effectively strip rust, mill scale, grease, paint, and other contaminants from raw steel and fabricated metal parts.
  • Ensure all metal surfaces are meticulously prepared, achieving the precise profile and cleanliness standards required for subsequent processes such as welding, powder coating, and industrial painting.
  • Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of blasting equipment components, including blast pots, hoses, and nozzles. Troubleshoot minor operational issues and ensure hoppers are continuously supplied with the appropriate abrasive media.
  • Perform pre- and post-blasting inspections of parts to verify adherence to strict quality specifications regarding surface profile and cleanliness, ensuring optimal results for downstream processes.

Sandblaster Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience operating abrasive blasting equipment in a fabrication or industrial setting.
  • * Strong understanding of metal surface preparation techniques.
  • * Exceptional attendance record and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented fabrication shop environment
  • * Familiarity with saws and sanders.
  • Experience in auto sanding applications.
  • Previous roles involving quality inspection or visual inspection.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
