HEAT TREAT OPERATOR
Location: Peru, IL
Pay: $19.10/hr
Schedule: Full-Time, Overtime as Required Potential for Long Term Hire
Job Overview: We are seeking a Heat Treat Operator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining heat treat equipment, performing quality inspections, completing production documentation, and ensuring safe and efficient production processes. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate heat treat equipment and related machinery.
  • Inspect products and perform measurements to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Record production and quality control data accurately and maintain required paperwork.
  • Perform equipment inspections, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs.
  • Replace worn or damaged tooling and monitor tooling inventory levels.
  • Safely operate production equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety policies and procedures.
Please note: Candidates must be willing to work in a team setting, have great communication skills (written and verbal), and must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, prints, and specifications.
  • Basic math and English reading/writing skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift.
