HOURS:

• 5:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday for Heat Treat

• 5:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday for Forge

• Some overtime on Saturdays

Scot Forge performs a hair follicle drug screen, lift test up to 65 lbs. and background check.

Scot Forge is a 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate metal pre-forgings with Blacksmith.

• Load and unload 65 lb. pieces with tongs into forge furnace and hammer

• Locate metal material, inspect, grind, stamp, transport, etc.

• Remove scrap from pit, shovel and unload.

Scot Forge has a customized training program to learn forging and stamping metal available for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimal Skills-

Ability to do frequent heavy lifting in a hot work environment

• Strong Math and Mechanical aptitude

• Tape measure and computer experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills -

• Previous manufacturing experience

• Use of micrometer, caliper, tape measure

• Machine set up and operation

• Blueprint reading

• Fork lift experience

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
