Job description

Medical Records Legal Assistant

Dordick Law Corporation, a mid-sized personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Medical Records Legal Assistant to assist our legal teams in collecting and organizing medical records for litigation, and arranging treatment and other support for our clients. Our practice is primarily focused on catastrophic personal injury. This is not a remote or hybrid position. You must be willing and able to work at our downtown Los Angeles or Beverly Hills office.

As a Medical Records Legal Assistant at Dordick Law, you'll receive a competitive salary (based on your qualifications and experience), paid sick time and PTO, as well as a handsome benefits package that includes our group health, vision, dental coverage (all 100% paid by the firm) and a 401k program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange medical care and diagnostics for our clients
  • Review litigation files to identify missing records and take appropriate action
  • Request medical records and billing
  • Properly name and upload medical records to our CMS
  • Work closely with paralegals and provide assistance as necessary with other records-related tasks
  • Request medical illustrations and otherwise assist in prepping cases for trial

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of PI litigation and subpoenaed records
  • Knowledge and experience of medical records and billing
  • Ability to speak/read/write Spanish

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other technology including AI
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • College degree is preferred but not required.

Salary: $35 - $38 per hour
