**City/State:**Bronx, New York**Department:****Work Days:**DAYS VARY**Scheduled Hours:**Hours Vary**Scheduled Daily Hours:**Hours VaryMontefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of MedicineMedical Laboratory DirectorMontefiore Medical Center is seeking a physician with M.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. degrees to join their team as Medical Laboratory Director at affiliate hospitals. Candidates must be board certified in CP or AP/CP and have an established expertise in laboratory management. Training and/or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine is desirable, but training/experience in other AP/CP subspecialty areas are also highly valued. Oversight of clinical laboratory operations, active participation in hospital committees, resident and medical school teaching are responsibilities of the position. Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research.Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship. Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.Montefiore Medical Center is a university-affiliated health care system serving the Bronx and Westchester County.
