Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Full-Time or Part-Time | In-Office | Las Vegas, NV

We are a busy oral and maxillofacial surgery practice seeking an experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and experienced with medical or dental billing, insurance follow-up, and patient account management.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage outstanding insurance and patient accounts receivable

• Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims

• Work insurance aging reports and resolve claim issues

• Post payments, adjustments, and insurance reimbursements accurately

• Verify claim status and communicate with insurance carriers

• Appeal denied claims when appropriate

• Communicate professionally with patients regarding balances and billing questions

• Maintain accurate account documentation

• Support the billing and administrative team as needed

Qualifications

• Prior medical or dental accounts receivable experience required

• Experience with insurance claims, EOBs, denials, and aging reports

• Familiarity with oral surgery, dental, or medical billing preferred

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through

• Professional phone and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
