Job description

Pacific Medical, Inc. was established in 1987 and is a leading distributor of durable medical equipment, prosthetic/orthotics, and surgical instruments servicing the eight western states. We provide our services directly to the patient, medical networks/hospitals, physician clinics and offices. We are dedicated to the advancement of patient care through excellent service and product technology.

We have an immediate full-time opportunity for a Medical Account Coordinator in our Sacramento, CA facility. This individual will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our patients and referrals, while assuming administrative and fitting responsibilities for Pacific Medical Rehab department. The Medical Account Coordinator functions as a collaborative and participative team member with the Rehab team, consistent with the mission and values of Pacific Medical, Inc. more specifically:
Hourly Pay Rate: $20-$22 per hour
 

Responsibilities include:

· Answering phones.

· Greeting patients.

· Assisting patients with paperwork.

· Insurance verification/authorization.

· Data entry.

· Communication with other professional medical offices.

· Scheduling appointments.

· Shipping and receiving.

· Provide other administrative duties as needed.

· Collects and completes appropriate paperwork at the request of Pacific Medical, HP team, Rehab Team, and Medical Center for documentation and billing purposes in a timely manner.

· Openly communicates with the OrthoLife Rehab Team and supervisors.

· Maintains a working relationship with Pacific Medical corporate team to ensure the completion of the order cycle and assist in gathering information at the field level.

· Demonstrates competency for orthopedic products and services provided by Pacific Medical Rehab along with competitive products.

· Schedule coordination for Patient Recovery Care.

· Demonstrates ability to take initiative, prioritize, and professional accountability.

· Adheres to Medical Center’s policies/procedures and core values.

· Conducts themselves with personal integrity and professionalism as a representative of Pacific Medical

· Performs measurement and application of orthopedic soft good devices and such as CPM’s, knee orthoses, spinal bracing, ankle foot orthotics and other devices as necessary.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

· 1 year of Experience as a Medical Office Receptionist preferred.

· Microsoft Office, Email, Outlook, Word, Excel

· Typing Minimum 45 wpm.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Valid Driver's License

Additional Benefits for Full-Time Employees (3 to 4 weeks of Paid Time Off)
Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year
Vacation Benefit: At completion of 3-month introductory period, vacation accrual up to an annual max of 40 hours in the first 23 months, at 24 months, accrual up to an annual max of 80 hours with a rollover balance.
Sick Benefit: Sick accrual begins upon date of hire up to a max annual accrual of 80 hours with a max usage of 48 hours annually with a rollover balance.
