Position Summary
Beyond Podiatry is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Physician Liaison to join our growing team in the Chicago market. This individual will serve as the primary ambassador for our organization, developing and strengthening relationships with referring physicians, medical practices, hospitals, and healthcare providers throughout the community.
The Physician Liaison plays a critical role in expanding referral networks, increasing brand awareness, and driving patient growth by educating providers on Beyond Podiatry's comprehensive clinical services and commitment to exceptional patient care.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated healthcare sales professional who thrives on building lasting relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to the success of a rapidly expanding healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, hospitals, urgent care centers, and other healthcare providers throughout the assigned territory.
  • Execute strategic physician outreach plans designed to increase referrals and strengthen market presence.
  • Educate referring providers and office staff on Beyond Podiatry's services, treatment options, specialists, and referral process.
  • Conduct regular in-person physician office visits to promote clinical programs and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to grow referral volume and expand relationships with new and existing providers.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for referring physicians by facilitating communication between providers and clinical teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians and office staff to improve referral efficiency and patient access.
  • Represent Beyond Podiatry at networking events, community outreach initiatives, healthcare conferences, and educational programs.
  • Assist in coordinating physician education events, lunch-and-learns, and community presentations.
  • Monitor referral trends and maintain accurate activity records using CRM or reporting tools.
  • Prepare regular reports on physician engagement, referral activity, and territory performance.
  • Work closely with leadership to achieve business development objectives and support continued organizational growth.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and healthcare compliance standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in healthcare sales, physician relations, business development, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, or a related healthcare field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building physician referral networks.
  • Knowledge of podiatry, vein care, vascular services, wound care, orthopedics, or other specialty healthcare services.
  • Existing relationships within the Chicago healthcare community are a plus.
