Job description

Overview:
Works closely with Media Production and collaborates across Brand and Comms team to shape how HKS captures and delivers visual content. Responsible for filming, photography, editing, revising, and retouching content and developing concepts that provide great storytelling and systems thinking. Anticipates job needs and proactively thinks through next steps.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and selects the best footage to align with strategic goals in collaboration with leadership
  • Plans shoots and edits in advance to ensure all necessary content is captured and the right elements are featured in the final cut
  • Edits videos and photography according to the project and firm's vision and direction
  • Creates visually compelling stories that help the firm evolve its visual identity through the creative editing of media
  • Ensures created media meets the firm's visual standards and quality benchmarks
  • Adjusts video footage and photography for continuity, pacing, and overall quality such as improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage
  • Makes revisions to refine final product by proactively seeking and receiving feedback
  • Provides production requirements, schedules and editing timelines in a clear manner to all parties associated
  • Takes ownership of assigned work and shares regular progress updates with leadership and project teams
  • Organizes, tags, and archives all raw and finished media with meticulous metadata and consistent naming and folder structure in digital asset management software and production storage
  • Assists and independently shoots photography and videography in environmental and studio settings
  • Manages work efficiently and effectively across pre-production, production and post-production
  • Stays current with industry trends and software updates

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Photography, Film Studies or related degree
  • Typically with 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in all aspects of photo and video production
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Knowledge of and interest in the architecture/interior design industry
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and customers; ability to forge trusting relationships within a diverse team
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
  • Travel may be required
