Position Overview:

As a Meat Department Clerk, you’ll be responsible for stocking, rotating, and packaging fresh meat products while providing exceptional service to customers. You’ll help maintain clean cases and prep areas, support food safety standards, and assist the meat department team with daily tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock and rotate packaged meat products in refrigerated cases
  • Package, label, and weigh meat products accurately and attractively
  • Keep meat cases and prep areas clean, organized, and sanitary
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers in the department
  • Maintain awareness of product freshness and expiration dates
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and storing product properly
  • Follow all company and food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures
  • Support meat cutters and department management as needed


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Friendly, customer-service driven, and dependable
  • Basic knowledge of food handling preferred
  • Comfortable working with raw meat and cleaning chemicals
  • Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever’s will assist)

Physical Requirements:
