Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Raytheon SMGBAD Product Line execution team in Tucson, AZ. This role requires basic knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process with practical knowledge of project and material management.
In this role you will learn and further develop your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one's own job function as well as with parties external to the organization and company. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issue, and conflict resolution.
This position will be an onsite role based at our Tucson, AZ location.
What You Will Do
  • Engage with IPT leadership on material strategy execution.
  • Communicate and translate customer and product requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • Review SCM metrics.
  • Support recurring supplier, program, and IPT Reviews including visibility of procurement plans and escalation of supply chain issues.
  • Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) and Sales plans to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & program responsibilities; Proactively manage mitigation plans.
  • Manage budgets for all buy parts and supply chain labor in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
  • Support prime proposals and program start-up including developing and executing Material Product Strategies (MPS) and Plans (MPP).
  • Ability to obtain MPM certification within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience working with MRP systems such as SAP, PRISM, and/or KINAXIS.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance. Last full background investigation within the past 6 years.
  • Experience with budget and Earned Value (EV) management, Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Management, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and/or proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management as well as supplier management.
  • Must be able to succeed in a high stress, fast paced development environment.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
