Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager to work onsite at our Tucson, AZ location.

What You Will Do

  • Take rapid ownership of supply chain execution, immediately assessing and driving actions on critical‑path and long‑lead materials to protect program schedule.

  • Work directly with suppliers to pull in material deliveries, resolve roadblocks, and execute recovery plans to ensure on‑time delivery of prototype and development hardware.

  • Lead material forecasting, planning, and execution with a focus on schedule adherence and lead‑time reduction.

  • Own the Material Forecast and actively manage risks, opportunities, shortages, and supplier constraints.

  • Manage material budgets; support EACs, LREs, and material sales forecasting, with timely variance analysis.

  • Drive Purchase Requisition creation and ensure rapid Purchase Order placement and management.

  • Support MRL assessments, proposal activity, capital planning, and long‑range supply chain readiness.

  • Participate in TDP reviews and drive early identification of supply chain impacts from engineering changes.

  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Program Management to rapidly resolve supplier issues and eliminate barriers to material flow.

  • Maintain Line of Balance (LOB), weekly supply chain status reports, and critical‑material constraint tracking.

  • Enforce Supplier Management Best Practices including risk mitigation plans, recovery plans, and proactive subcontract management.

  • Respond quickly to urgent supply chain tasking with minimal guidance, ensuring immediate action on supplier pulls, SSOW development, PO follow‑up, and part expedites for build events.

  • Drive supplier performance reviews and implement recovery actions for any schedule or quality issues affecting the program’s critical path.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Material Program Management, or related discipline.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • BE MPM Level 4 certification (or ability to complete within 12 months).

  • Understanding of program schedules (IMS), material sales forecasting, and risk/opportunity management.

  • Experience with CORE/Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ability to travel to suppliers as needed.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
