Job Summary/Objective:  

Responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and claims processing. Key tasks include producing monthly financial reports, developing an annual budget, establishing effective and efficient internal work processes, and establishing appropriate procedures and internal controls to prevent the misuse or misappropriation of assets.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Collaborates with the Finance Team and the Leadership Team to improve financial acumen and monitor financial performance. 
    • Due to the complexity of its operations, financial reporting must accommodate government reporting standards (GASB), as well as the cost reporting requirements for the mental health programs, contracts and grants. 
  • Must be collaborative and team focused. 
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, communication, computer, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Shall be self-directed and resourceful. 
  • Participates in quality improvement and problem solving activities. 
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy in accordance with deferral ad state guidelines. 
  • Utilizes knowledge of CARF, CSM, and MDHHS standards. 
  • Performs other duties as required. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising individuals and developing a team.
  • Specialized training, skills and abilities: Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.
