Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead factory and supplier quality operations in a high-reliability aerospace manufacturing environment. You will oversee Quality Engineering, QC Inspection, and Receiving Inspection teams while ensuring products, materials, and processes meet all customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
This position is ideal for a hands-on quality leader who thrives in fast-paced, highly regulated environments and is passionate about preventing quality escapes and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead factory and supplier quality engineering activities and daily QC inspection operations.
  • Supervise, train, and develop QC Inspectors, Leads, and Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Oversee Receiving, In-Process, Final, and Shipping inspections, including AS9102 First Article Inspections.
  • Conduct supplier audits, approve/reject suppliers, and drive supplier corrective actions.
  • Lead preliminary MRB reviews and support final dispositions.
  • Investigate quality escapes and field returns; implement root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Maintain QC KPIs, inspection instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years in Quality Control/Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality.
  • Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, engineering drawings, and inspection methodologies.
  • Strong root-cause and corrective-action skills (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; TIPQA/FileMaker experience a plus.
  • Preferred: IPC-610/620, ASQ certifications (CQI, CQE, CQA), FAA FAR Part 21/145 familiarity.
  • Must be a U.S. Person.
