Job description

Stage, load, and unload finished product and raw materials. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory including manufactured and purchased parts. This can range from cabinets to paper and from wire and hardware to cleaning supplies. The position works closely with our company purchasing department. It is expected to learn the products quickly in order to keep the production lines stocked appropriately.
  • Unload materials from truck.
  • Move raw materials to Material Control for storage.
  • Move waste from area to dumpsters.
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out to the floor. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
  • Operate forklift, power jacks, etc.
  • Complete daily logs/paperwork.
  • Fill material requests from the floor in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Supervisors and/or Group Leaders to ensure floor is adequately stocked with parts.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly

Requirements
  • Good communications skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds with some regularity; more on occasion with help.
  • Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, and overhead.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions reflective of the local climate.
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
  • Ability to operate various shop tools (including power and manually operated).
  • Trained in forklift.
