Estimated annual base pay: $54,000(minimum) - $70,000(midpoint) - $86,000(maximum)

Position Summary: The Material Control Specialist supports the buying team by managing day-to-day supplier and order tracking activities. This role is responsible for running open order reports, updating supplier commit dates, tracking future deliveries, and maintaining accurate delivery information in reports. The Material Control Specialist works with suppliers to obtain purchase order acknowledgements, monitors move-in messages, and escalates shortages, delays, or other supply issues to the buyer as needed. This position helps ensure timely communication, accurate order status, and smooth material flow through close coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Manage and oversee the tracking and maintenance of inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure on time delivery of materials per our schedule.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze production reports to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights for informed decision making.
  • Schedule Adherence: Identify and resolve production constraints and delays. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.
  • Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and logistics to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.
