Pay Range: $40.00-$50.00/hr.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Material Control Technician to join our prototyping team. The ideal candidate will be expert in material control processes such as inventory control, material management, storage management, and replenishment. The Senior Material Control Technician manages all aspects of a dynamic inventory; assuring material availability for all builds while supporting Job Orders and ERP. Additionally, the Senior Material Control Tech will store materials, cycle count, pull kits, and transact parts. This role is critical. Applicants must think independently, and work with little supervision. Production schedules must be meticulously maintained, and workspaces kept safe and clean.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Production Schedules.
  • Validate availability of parts for workorders.
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order parts.
  • Prepare workorder kits.
  • Prepare cycle counts and count parts.
  • Assist in purchasing and planning.
  • Keep storage locations organized and neat.
  • Implement visual controls.
  • Manage inventory using lean principles.
  • Use forklift to store heavy materials such as metals and plastics.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Escalate problems and communicate progress.
  • Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
  • Train and support others.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Work Safely.

Qualifications:

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIROMENTAL:
  • Activities: Sitting - 10% Walking/Standing - 90%
  • Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.
  • Vision: Ability to see small or detailed items.
  • Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Environment: Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration.
