The Material Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular compliance counts, analysis, and reconciliation activities. This role ensures inventory integrity across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods by performing cycle counts, investigating variances, and supporting compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Your Team

As part of the inventory control team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of inventory processes across the organization. This team operates at the intersection of operations, finance, and supply chain, focused on maintaining reliable inventory data, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts and physical inventory audits in accordance with company policies
  • Implement compliance counts to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records (ERP/MRP)
  • Investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies, root causes, and recurring variances
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and audit requirements related to inventory management
  • Analyze inventory accuracy trends and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Prepare inventory variance reports and communicate findings
  • Support annual external audits as required
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within the ERP/MRP system including maintaining location integrity
  • Find opportunities for process improvement within material handling, storage, and transaction accuracy
  • Support the development and enforcement of standard work, counting procedures, and inventory controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent material shortages or excess inventory
  • Work closely with warehouse, receiving, production, and planning teams to resolve material issues
  • Ensure timely correction of inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow
What You'll Bring
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent internal certificate.
  • Six (6) months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions given orally or written in the English language.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Proficiency in general math; including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers or fractions, taking measurements in standard & metric volumes, distances and weight, and computing percentages.
  • Ability to stand and to use hands and arms repetitively for extended period of time.
  • Familiarity with MRP software
  • Proficiency in Excel

The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
