QC Analyst – Microbiology (Contract) – BioPhase
Location: San Diego, CA
Assignment: 4-month contract
Pay: $33–35/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
About the Role
Our client’s Quality Control team is seeking a Microbiology QC Analyst to support critical testing activities in a GMP environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills in microbiology who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated lab setting.
What You’ll Do
  • Perform microbiology QC testing on in-process, release, and stability samples
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and aseptic technique assessments
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with GMP requirements
  • Assist with investigations, deviations, and lab support activities
  • Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
  • 2+ years of industry QC laboratory experience in microbiology (GMP environment strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with microbial techniques (bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, environmental monitoring, etc.)
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and cleanroom practices
  • Familiarity with deviations, CAPA, and GMP documentation practices
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
