Associate Attorney (Mass Tort & Trial Litigation)

Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Consilio's direct hire division is partnering with an established and highly regarded plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Mass Tort and Trial Litigation team in Dallas. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful courtroom experience, hands-on trial involvement, and the chance to work on high-profile cases with national impact.


The firm handles complex plaintiff-side litigation involving toxic torts, product liability, medical devices, and sexual assault matters. The selected attorney will work directly with a collaborative trial team consisting of three partners and four associates and is expected to play a significant role in case strategy, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy.


This position is ideal for attorneys seeking substantive litigation experience and a clear path toward becoming a first- or second-chair trial attorney.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all phases of complex civil litigation from case inception through trial.
  • Conduct case investigations, legal research, and strategic case evaluations.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Handle discovery, including document review, requests for production, interrogatories, and depositions.
  • Work closely with expert witnesses, including identifying, evaluating, and preparing experts for testimony.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and courtroom support.
  • Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and post-trial proceedings.
  • Collaborate with partners and fellow associates on a national docket of complex litigation matters.
  • Serve as a first- or second-chair attorney during trials, depending on experience and case needs.


Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently while working effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.


Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation
  • Toxic tort litigation

Compensation & Bonus

Base Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 annually (DOE)

Bonus Structure:

  • Discretionary year-end bonus
  • Typical first-year bonus: approximately $1,500 (prorated based on start date)
  • Subsequent annual bonuses generally increase in $3,000–$5,000 increments


Travel Requirements

Some travel is required based on trial locations and litigation needs. Candidates should be willing to travel periodically throughout the year to support trials in various jurisdictions.
