Job Brief

As a rapidly growing small business, we are seeking a Marine Engineer with Ship Control Systems experience to support quality engineering deliverables for the U.S. Navy, MSC, and USCG. The engineer will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and delivering system designs for marine vessels.

Responsibilities

Working as a part of a team to review and approve engineering and technical deliverables.

Perform engineering analysis using a variety of engineering tools.

Ensure quality assurance of all engineering deliverables.

Provide technical review and feedback on the integration of propulsion, auxiliary systems, power generation/distribution, alarms, and shipboard controls.

Interface directly with clients.

Draft technical input for program documentation, reports, and recommendations.

Assist the PM in business development and customer relations.

Expect 10% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

Engineering experience with U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC vessels.

Relevant experience in shipboard systems, ideally with machinery centralized control systems (MCCS), ship control systems, or related integration.

Understanding of how propulsion, power, auxiliary, and alarm/monitoring systems interface and integrate aboard Navy vessels.

Ability to interface with clients effectively.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical insight and recommendations.

BS/BE in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or relevant field.

Must be able to maintain or get a Secret level security clearance.

Nice to Have

Software coding; input/output signals; HMI interface.

Licensed Marine Engineer (e.g., USCG Third Assistant Engineer).

Previous experience with System Software Verification (SSV) or integration testing.

Hands-on shipboard or shipyard experience.

Familiarity with L3Harris ship control solutions or similar OEM/integrator systems.

AutoCAD experience.
