Job description

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor directs activities within the operations team as it relates to machining, painting, and welding. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.

Location: Springville, UT

Work schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 7 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the machining, painting and welding teams (First and Swing shifts).
  • Implement lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
  • Statistical control of the process.
  • Production planning.
  • Management of KPIs (utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework).
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Analysis for the solution of problems in lean manufacturing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • BS or BA Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Engineering and 5-7 years relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience within a machine shop environment.
  • Experience in CNC programming and/or manual machining.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
  • Preferred: Mechanical or industrial engineer.
  • Experience with ISO-9000-14000.
  • Desirable: knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME).
