Job description

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for breaking down carcasses of wild game into primary cuts for finishers and trimmers. You will be responsible for giving precise instructions from the cut sheet for each cut of meat. You will work at a fast pace while maintaining high yield standards and minimizing waste.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as a meat breaker.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 - 70 lbs.
  • Knife Skills: High proficiency in using, maintaining, and sharpening a variety of butchery knives.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in cold, damp, and refrigerated environments (generally 35ยฐF to 50ยฐ)

Start date:ย 

  • Training Period (Part-Time): Begins August 2, 2026

  • Full-Time Transition: Begins August 17, 2026 (coinciding with the start of hunting season)
