Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor - Meat is responsible for leading a high-performing production team on 2nd shift while driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and improving manufacturing performance in a fast-paced USDA food manufacturing environment.
What you will do...
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Execute the daily production schedule while meeting safety, quality, labor, and productivity targets.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to achieve operational goals.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Planning to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities, safety expectations, and performance metrics.
• Investigate production, quality, and safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
What you will bring...
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a USDA food manufacturing environment, preferably meat processing.
• Proven ability to lead large hourly production teams.
• Strong working knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, OSHA, and food safety standards.
• Experience managing labor, production schedules, and departmental performance metrics.
• Ability to coach employees, resolve conflict, and hold team members accountable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Target Base Salary: $85,000-$95,000 annually, plus eligibility for a 10% annual performance bonus.
